About Me

Chris Raven was born in South East London some 50 or more years ago. He originally started out in Community Theatre in the 1980s, but became side-tracked by health and social care, where he has made his living for the past 30 years.

Chris returned to Theatre in 2015, and has performed with the Matchbox Theatre, The Beckenham Theatre, Belmont Productions and the No-Frills Theatre Company. He was also part of ‘Old and Out’, a LGBTQ+ theatre Company who devised and performed an original musical revue at ‘The Tramshed’ Theatre in Woolwich in February 2020, as part of their LGBT History Month.

Chris returned to creative writing when he became a member of ‘The Indie Collaboration’, an international online writing group that produced a number of short story anthologies between 2013 and 2016.

Chris enjoys writing in several different forms, including performance, poetry, short stories, and stage plays. He lives in South East London with his two daughters, and his pronouns are he, him, and his.

Chris is also writing as part of ‘Call the Fishwife,’ A comedy review partnership, and he is currently producing his own stage play, The Reluctant psychiatrist.
